AstraZeneca vaccine discontinued in Australia.
No reason has been given by the government, the media or by AstraZeneca for the discontinuation, only that it’s been done quietly.
“Health Minister Mark Butler on Thursday announced more than 160,000 people aged 60 to 69 would from next month be given access to the antiviral treatment Paxlovid under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, which would normally cost up to $1000 per script.”
160,000 people times $1000 per script is $160 million dollars.

Major Australian bank quietly stops handling cash at some branches
ANZ bank boss has warned the nation to brace for higher banking costs and a potential financial crisis, saying households and businesses are yet to feel the impact of recent overseas banking turmoil.
“In a statement provided to the radio station, ANZ Victoria and Tasmania general manager Cameron Home confirmed “a small number” of branches “no longer handle cash at the counter”, but stopped short of revealing just how many branches were impacted.”
